Saber's Edge

Saber's Edge is both a puzzle game and an RPG where players take over a crew of raging pirates who they'll have to gang up with in order to face off against tons of enemies of every possible sort: from imperial soldiers to giant robots, and a handful of powerful Aztec spellcasters.

Combat in Saber's Edge is incredibly simple: in the upper part of your screen, you'll see how your characters and enemies interact, and at the lower side you'll find a game board with different colored gems. When linking up several gems of the same color, you'll find that your heroes follow your command into action. For example, if you match up yellow jewels, your heroes attack with full-on body combat, but if you put red gems side by side you'll operate a long-distance attack.

Between one battle and another, as isn't uncommon in RPGs, you'll level up and your character's skills evolve and improve. You'll find just over a dozen different heroes and you'll get to recruit and train up little by little. Each of your soldiers has a unique talent and gift along with a completely different overall look.

Saber's Edge offers an excellent mash-up of roleplay and puzzles with a highly original atmosphere and out of this world visuals. Combat systems in this game offer players the chance to enjoy strategizing in order to succeed.
